dc.description.abstract | The Interim Report includes several recommendations that are intended to show Congress, the Department of Defense (DoD), and private-sector stakeholders the direction the panel will go, with more abitious, bold recommendations to come in the future. These recommendations call for the following: Affirm Agency Mission as the Primary Goal of Defense Acquisition; Increase Contract Time for Fuel Storage from 20 Years to 30 Years; Eliminate the Requirement for Contractors to Use Recycled Paper; Eliminate Federal Acquisition Regulation Section on Texting While Driving; and Eliminate the Requirement to Accept and Dispense Dollar Coins at Government Business Operations. | |
