The acquisition-related statutes in Title 10 of the U.S. Code have become increasingly disorganized due to the proliferation of legislative note sections applicable to defense acquisition, creating a substantial impediment to transparency and clarity. The Section 809 Panel proposes that Title 10 be decluttered and reorganized. This effort dramatically simplifies and updates the Code, making key laws about defense acquisition more accessible and understandable.
