You invited me to discuss paperwork reduction accomplishments that the agencies expect to accomplish in fiscal years 1999 and 2000. I am pleased to have the opportunity to appear, and to present you with the Information Collection Budget of the United States Government, Fiscal Year 1999. This extensive report provides a detailed accounting of agency paperwork activities, accomplishments, and planned initiatives. However, we also recognize that we need to continue working to minimize paperwork burden on the public.
