dc.description.abstract | The attached list contains the reports as of December 23, 2016, that will terminate on November 25, 2017, by operation of Section 1080. It was compiled by examining the list of reports submitted to Congress on March 10. 2016, in accordance with section 1080 and removing the reports exempted from termination under section 1061. The Department understands the necessity of reporting and the constitutional mandate of congressional oversight, but also appreciates any congressional initiative to lessen the burden of reporting requirements, particularly in the midst of staff reductions. The Department urges the continued modernization of the reporting regime. | |
