It would have: Repealed the Davis-Bacon Act (an Act which requires that the locally prevailing wage rate be paid to various classes of laborers and mechanics working under federally-financed or federally-assisted contracts for construction, alteration, and repair of public buildings or public works). Repealed the Copeland Act (an Act which requires certain payroll information reports from Federal contractors to prevent kickbacks). Repealed specified provisions of the Tennessee Valley Authority Act of 1933 which require contractors to pay prevailing wage rates. | |
