Abstract: The nation's military strategy, in large part, continues to depend on superior technology, highly qualified operational forces, and the ability to sustain those forces in order to achieve its objectives. However, the global industrial base (as well as the U.S. industrial base) no longer exists as it did during the Cold War, and the DoD must seek to gain the benefits of globalization.
