Abstract: This paper assesses the process capabilities and competencies of Air Force Material Command's (AFMC) Air Logistics Center (ALC) at Tinker AFB, OK. The assessment uses a cross-sectional questionnaire covering contracting processes and procedures. The purpose of this study is to analyze the ALC's contracting processes and procedures to better establish a baseline for contract management maturity. Using the Contract Management Maturity Model (CMMM) and its assessment tool, this model will be used to identify the ALC's weak as well as strong contract management processes, and provide recommendations for improving the maturity of these processes. Additionally, the Learning Organization Assessment model is used to determine which characteristics of a learning organization the ALC possesses. The results of these assessments will be used to determine any correlation between the two models and recommend areas for organizational improvement.
