Abstract: | For more than 40 years, Congress, the Department of Defense, oversight agencies, and external analysts have endorsed efforts to eliminate existing reporting requirements and restrain the growth of future requirements. Overall, the current system of defense acquisition reporting requirements lacks the needed coherence or consistency to achieve its policy aims. |
