| Abstract: | Current Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) policy on termination of commercial contracts does not align with commercial practice. Policy guidance in the FAR should be reconciled, and language in the FAR should be rewritten to reflect fair compensation and the use of cure notices for terminations for cause. |
