Abstract: The committee directs the Chair of the Defense Business Board to conduct a study of the effects of current mandates and processes regarding the determination of suitability for the selection of senior officials in the acquisition workforce...[and] further directs [the Board]...to provide recommendations to improve the Department's ability to recruit, develop, and retain highly qualified senior acquisition personnel while appropriately mitigating real and perceived conflicts of interest.
