Abstract: The Defense Acquisition Workforce Development Fund (DAWDF) has supported the Department of Defense's ability to recruit and retain qualified acquisition personnel, yet faces three key challenges: (a) determining the most efficient approach to operational funding; (b) determining the proper allocation method; and (c) addressing management of the fund. DAWDF should be resourced and managed as a multiyear fund from expiring-year, unobligated dollars at no less than $450 million annually.
