By harnessing an increasingly professional acquisition workforce guided by the tenets for our Better Buying Power (BBP)initiatives, we have substantially improved the efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs. For example, analysis shows that we are achieving the best results at controlling costs on major acquisition programs at any time in the last 35 years. This strategic plan sets forth overarching guidance for the next five years. It emphasizes constant improvement of our acquisition workforce to ensure the United States continues to field the best-equipped military in the world. |
